Instant Coffee, Anyone?

Drip coffee never has as much flavor as it should have. I think you're right about the paper filter stripping the oils from the liquid. Not to mention that many chain coffee shops don't brew their coffee strong enough, which actually makes the final product more bitter.

I grind and brew my own coffee at home in a french press now. The filter is a fine wire mesh. It's so much better--much richer, smoother, more flavorful...and not really bitter at all. I could drink this stuff black; sugar would ruin the taste, and the only reason I add a bit of cream is to cut the acidity, which my stomach doesn't like. Pick up a cheap french press and try it, if you haven't. :)

French press, eh? I'll check it out on eBay... afterall, a real coffee drinker has to be able to say, "I've tried it all!!!" LOL

thanks =)

Ooh, I never would have thought that Nescafe was any good! I love love love coffee, so maybe I'll have to check it out!
The best instant coffee in the world is Medaglia D'oro Caffe Espresso Instant. I heartily recommend it.
Couldn't agree more about the french press -- it revolutionised the way I like my coffee! Funny, I add a wee bit of cream to cut the acidity too.
Instant coffee is so underrated. I'm going to try making a frappuccino your way today.

WOW! Lots of good recommendations!

I just LOVE coffee so I'm willing to try anything at least once! LOL

That Medaglia D'Oro sounds like something I'll buy on my next trip to the Mediterranean market; I don't thing I've seen it at any regular supermarket...!?

French press, I've heard it makes a decent coffee so perhaps I'll ask for one for Christmas? LOL

In the meantime, Enjoy a Great Cup of Coffee!!!

talk soon
